UNI wrestling unveils 2025-26 home schedule

Panther Train welcomes seven home competitions, including the NWCA Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships for third straight season.
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The UNI wrestling team on Friday announced dates and opponents for its 2025-26 home schedule, featuring seven home events.
New season ticket deposits for the upcoming season are now available through the UNI Ticket Office, or by calling 319-273-4849 or through email at tickets@uni.edu.Â
The Panther Train will welcome fans inside the McLeod Center for the first time this fall on Nov. 23 as it hosts the North Dakota State Bison in its Big 12 Conference opener. Missouri meanwhile will come to town on Dec. 14 in conference action, while North Carolina returns to Cedar Falls for the first time since 2017 on Dec. 21. The Panthers are 5-4 all-time against the Tar Heels, emerging victorious in their last meeting on Dec. 18, 2017 in a 17-16 win inside the West Gym.
Following the holidays, UNI resumes competition as the NWCA Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships return to the UNI-Dome, Jan. 9-10. Last season, UNI dominated the field with commanding victories over Sacred Heart, Ohio, Northern Colorado and South Dakota State en route to winning its first-ever title at the event in a 14-team bracket. Teams for this year's competition are yet to be announced.
After competing in its first season as a Big 12 member last season, the Arizona State Sun Devils will make the journey from the desert to Cedar Falls for the first time since 1981 on Jan. 17. UNI won in Tempe against the Sun Devils last January by a score of 33-10.
Northern Iowa will close out its home conference slate on Feb. 13 against West Virginia, looking to extend its nine-dual winning streak against the Mountaineers. UNI will close out dual action on Feb. 22 against the Wisconsin Badgers in non-conference competition.
