CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Single-game tickets for UNI football's 2025 home matchups are now available for purchase through the UNI Ticket Office. The Panthers will host six home games in the upcoming campaign for the first time since 2022 in the newly renovated UNI-Dome.
The season kicks off on Saturday, August 30 at 1 p.m. CT, when the Panthers host Butler for the first time in program history. The matchup offers fans their first glimpse of Coach Stepsis' squad and will serve as the official reopening of the UNI-Dome following extensive renovations as part of Phase 2 of the project. In addition, all fans will receive a FREE UNI-Dome flag to commemorate the 50th season of the UNI-Dome.
UNI will welcome Eastern Washington to Cedar Falls on Saturday, September 13 with a 4 p.m. CT kickoff during Parents and Family Weekend. The Purple Out matchup will feature a replica jersey give-a-way as the two teams meet for the ninth time, with the Panthers owning a 6-2 series lead and a perfect 6-0 record at home against the Eagles.
Homecoming weekend takes center stage on Saturday, October 4 as the Panthers open the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) portion of their schedule facing North Dakota at 4 p.m. CT. The matchup will be UNI's Vintage Game as the University of Northern Iowa celebrates 150 years. The contest marks the 42nd meeting in the series, which UNI leads 26-15 overall, including a 16-6 record at home.
On Saturday, October 18, UNI hosts South Dakota for a 1 p.m. CT "White Out" kickoff in the 54th all-time matchup between the two programs. The Panthers lead the series 31-21-1 and have found consistent success at home, holding a 21-12-1 advantage in Cedar Falls.
The final month of the regular season opens with a Military Appreciation Day showdown against Murray State on Saturday, November 8, at 1 p.m. CT. This marks only the second-ever meeting between the two programs and their first as MVFC opponents. UNI won the lone previous contest back in 1995 on the road.
The home slate concludes on Saturday, November 22, with a 1 p.m. CT kickoff against Youngstown State for Senior Day. In the 37th all-time meeting between the teams, the Panthers look to extend their dominance over the Penguins, owning a 26-10 series advantage, including a 16-3 record at home and wins in the last 11 meetings inside the UNI-Dome.
