Peters wraps diving season at NCAA Zones

IOWA CITY, Iowa — UNI diver Erica Peters capped off the 2024-25 season for the Panthers on Tuesday, competing in the one-meter competition at the NCAA Diving Zones at the Campus Recreation-Wellness Center on the University of Iowa campus.
In the 54-woman field on the one-meter boards, Peters placed 48th following her execution of six dives. Peters opened the afternoon with a score of 42.90 on her first attempt, a forward 2 1/2 somersault pike, following up in the second round with a forward 1 1/2 somersault two twist free and a score of 41.60.
In round five, Peters performed a back 1 1/2 somersault 1 1/2 twist free and scored a 41.25 before closing with her best round of the day in round six with a 43.20 on an inward 1 1/2 somersault pike, finishing with a final score of 228.80.
Peters finishes the season with a pair of first-place finishes in one-meter competition this season and three runner-up finishes on three-meter. Additionally, she placed ninth on the one-meter boards at last month's Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championships in Waukee, helping UNI to a fourth-place team finish.
