FAIRFAX, Va. --- UNI's Trever Anderson went a perfect 3-0 on Sunday as the Panther redshirt sophomore captured the 125 pound title at George Mason University's Patriot Last Chance Open.
Anderson, who placed third at the Grand View Open earlier this season, opened his day with a 15-1 major decision over Maryland's Tyler Garvin before scoring a second major decision win against Alex Esposito of Rider in an 11-1 win. Anderson closed out the competition with a 2-0 decision over Maryland's Abram Cline, capturing his second career open tournament title and first since the 2023 Pat Flanagan Open.
Anderson currently sits with a 14-9 record on the season with three major decision wins, one technical fall victory and four pins, including an upset of No. 5 Caleb Smith (Nebraska) last month.
