UNI Athletics honors November Student-Athletes of the Month

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — UNI Athletics is proud to honor four outstanding student-athletes with Athlete of the Month awards for November 2025.
The award recipients, voted on by members of UNI's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for their achievements in the month of October, include Noah Pettinger (football), Colin Lillie (men's cross country), Morgan Meyer (swimming & diving) and Maryn Bixby (volleyball).
NOAH PETTINGER (Football)
Pettinger, a senior punter from Dubuque, Iowa, averaged 42.7 yards per punt in October in games against No. 14 North Dakota, No. 2 South Dakota State, No. 22 South Dakota and No. 16 Southern Illinois. He notably kicked a season-long 60 yard punt at Southern Illinois and moved into the top-ten in program history for average yards per punt and second in school history in career average yards per punt.
COLIN LILLIE (Men's Cross Country)
In two meets in October, Lillie ran a career-best time of 24:58 in the men's eight-kilometer race to finish 44th at the Bradley Pink Classic. The sophomore from Council Bluff, Iowa also led the Panthers at the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championships in Evansville, Indiana with a 22nd place finish in 25:15.
MORGAN MEYER (Swimming & Diving)
A senior from Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Meyer won three events on the opening day of the Coyote Extravaganza in the 100-yard freestyle, while also competing in both the 200-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard medley relay. To open the season, she also placed second in the 400-yard freestyle relay and third in both the 100 and 200-yard freestyle races in a dual at Iowa
MARYN BIXBY (Volleyball)
The redshirt freshman from Dike, Iowa was instrumental in UNI's on-court success in October, helping the Panthers go a perfect 8-0 during the month without dropping a single set. Bixby led the Panther defense with 37 total blocks, plus 65 total kills and a .488 hitting percentage, earning MVC Freshman of the Week honors in three consecutive weeks (Oct. 13, 20, 27).
