UNI men’s basketball to open NIT Season Tip-Off against North Texas

Panthers to play in primetime on Thanksgiving night against the Mean Green.
BRISTOL, Conn. --- ESPN on Thursday afternoon announced the brackets and opening round matchups for the 2024 NIT Season Tip-Off scheduled for the Thanksgiving holiday.
UNI will open the two-game event by facing North Texas on Thanksgiving night, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. CT on ESPNU. The Panthers will follow up by playing either Utah State or St. Bonaventure on Nov. 29 in either a tournament championship game at 5:30 p.m. CT on ESPN2, or a third-place game at 8 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
The 2024 edition of the event will be held at the State Farm Field House at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Kissimmee, Florida, and will feature Northern Iowa making its tournament debut. The event, which has been held annually since 1985, will head to the Sunshine State for the first time after previously being held in New York City.
Northern Iowa's full non-conference schedule will be announced at a later date.
Fans looking to attend the two-day event can sign up for first access to pre-sale tickets through the NIT Season Tip-Off website. Tickets will go on sale later this summer.
