Panther football to host spring game and kids clinic on April 19

Free clinic registration open for kids ahead of the annual spring game in the UNI-Dome.
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI football fans are invited to celebrate this year's spring season with a tailgate event and the annual spring game, both inside the UNI-Dome on Friday, April 19.
Both family-friendly events are free and open to the public. The spring tailgate event kicks off at 5:30 p.m with registrations for this kids clinic set to take place at 6:00 p.m. Concessions will be available, featuring the Panther Classics, Game Day Grub and the Loaded Nacho stand! Beer will also be available for fans 21 and older.Â
All fans in attendance will have the opportunity to enter into a free raffle. Featuring a first place prize of a replica UNI football helmet and a second place prize of two tickets to the 2024 UNI Football home opener against Valparaiso on August 31st!
"We are excited to bring back the kids clinic paired with the spring game," said Jamar Thompson, Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs. "These two events give us a chance for the youth to interact with our student-athletes and coaches while giving our fans an early glimpse of next year's team."
UNI's youngest fans will be treated to a half hour skills clinic led by Panther football student-athletes and coaches beginning at 6 p.m. on the field. The clinic is free for kindergarten through eighth grade students. Participants are encouraged to register online. REGISTER BY CLICKING HERE. The spring game will begin at 7 p.m. and feature returning and new student-athletes in a game format to be determined. In addition to hearing from coaches and players of the program, season tickets will be available for purchase or renewal. CLICK HERE TO RENEW SEASON TICKETS.
For the second straight season, the Panther Sports Network will be providing television broadcast coverage of the spring game. "The Panther Football Spring Showcase'' will be hosted by "The Voice of the Panthers" JW Cox, former Panther wide receiver Justin Surrency, and former Panther quarterback Tom Petrie. Tune in to catch the action on the field, early analysis of the 2024 Panthers, and exclusive interviews with Head Coach Mark Farley, players, and assistant coaches.
