UNI volleyball releases 2023 spring schedule

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) regular season and tournament champion UNI volleyball team has announced its slate of competitions for the upcoming spring schedule set to begin this month.
UNI is slated to play in four spring tournaments throughout March and April, including three in-state events, headlined by a home tournament on April 15. The Panthers will open spring play on March 25 in Ames as it faces off against Iowa, Iowa State and Drake at Hilton Coliseum, before heading to Kansas City for the UMKC Tournament. This year's UMKC Tournament field includes teams from Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, UMKC, Tulsa and Wichita State.Â
UNI will host North Dakota State, Iowa and Omaha for the UNI Spring Tournament on April 15 in the Wellness-Recreation Center, before traveling to Iowa City for the Iowa Tournament. Teams in action at Carver-Hawkeye Arena will include the Hawkeyes, Drake, Iowa State and Western Illinois.
The Panthers enter the spring season after posting a 27-8 record overall and 17-1 mark in MVC play, winning both the MVC regular season and tournament titles in 2022. UNI earned a first round win in the NCAA Tournament against Florida State, before falling to Minnesota in the round of 32.
