UNI football cracks inaugural Bluebloods lists for all-American, all-MVFC teams

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - Preseason honors are rolling in for UNI football, including more all-America recognitions.
Matthew Cook, Benny Sapp III and Spencer Cuvelier cracked the inaugural Bluebloods Preseason All-MVFC Team.Â
Cook and Sapp also were named to the inaugural Bluebloods Preseason FCS All-American Team. The MVFC leads the way with 14 all-America selections. UNI will open the season ranked No. 23 in the nation on The Bluebloods' list.Â
Cook, a junior placekicker from Cedar Falls, Iowa, was named to the first team specialists' all-America list. He was also named to Athlon Sports' FCS Preseason All-American Team.Â
Sapp, a defensive back from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, earned second team honors on The Bluebloods' all-America list for defense.Â
Cuvelier, a linebacker from Cresco, Iowa, had his 2021 season cut short due to injury. He finished the year fifth in the Missouri Valley Football Conference for tackles per game with 8.2.Â

The Bluebloods originally started as a podcast in August 2019 as a weekly show covering the latest college football news and storylines from around the country. Focus specialized on the FBS level before shifting coverage to FCS Football in 2020.
