UNI football opens 2022 season new opponent in Air Force, stays home for most of October

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The Panthers will open their 2022 UNI football season on the road and spend October in the UNI-Dome.
Panther fans will be treated to six games in the UNI-Dome. The home season will kick off with Hall of Fame weekend against Sacramento State. The Hornets entered the 2021 FCS Playoffs as a No. 4 seed. The two-time Big Sky champs were undefeated in conference play last season and return a strong corps of starters, including tight end Marshel Martin, an FCS All-American.
UNI will open the 2022 fall season on the road at Air Force. It will be the first time the Panthers and Falcons have ever met. The first Missouri Valley Football Conference opponent will come early against the newest member of the MVFC. UNI will meet North Dakota for the first time as a Valley opponent in the second week of the season on the road.

Football season ticket renewals are now available for the 2022 football season. An early bird season ticket renewal discount is being offered until April 11. Those renewing tickets in tier 1 can receive a $20 discount/ticket and those in tier 3 can receive a $10 discount/ticket. Fans looking to renew with the discount will need to call the ticket office at (319) 273-4849 or (319) 273-5411 or make the purchase in person. Ticket office hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. New and renewal season tickets will be available for purchase online starting April 11.
