8/23/2021 5:13:00 PM | Women's Volleyball
#19 Payton Ahrenstorff Â
Q: How was your summer break?
A: I was at home and on the lake, spending a lot of quality time with family.Â
Q: How has camp been going for you so far?
A: It's been good, we're eager to get going and start especially after last season, we've put a lot of work in.Â
Q: How are you personally preparing for this volleyball season?
A: I've been putting in a lot of work on the off season and just mentally preparing for what is to come.Â
#10 Emily Holterhaus Â
Q: What are you most looking forward to this season?
A: I want to show people what we're made of. Last season we didn't play to our full potential and I'm excited to see what we can do as a team.Â
Q: What are some goals for this season?
A: Make it and win the MVC, that's always a goal to work hard for. Personally, I want to play and do my best for my team, not just myself.Â
Q: What has been your favorite volleyball/college memory so far?
A: Going to the NCAA tournament in 2019 and playing at Nebraska, it was really fun.Â
 #23 Layanna Green Â
Q: How has transitioning into college volleyball been for you?
A: It's a lot more competitive. Everyone here is very committed, I just love the discipline and hard work here.Â
Q: What are you looking forward to this season?Â
A: Growing with the team and the team atmosphere, I love how it already feels like a family.Â
Q: What is your favorite part of being a UNI Panther so far?
A:Â Definitely everyone that makes up the volleyball program, it has been so fun and we've made a lot of memories together.Â
 #1 Kaylee DonnerÂ
Q: How has camp been for you?
A: The days are long but worth it. We've worked very hard and get to spend quality time together, to help us get better. Hanging out as a team is fun too, during pre-season we've watched the Olympics, done swimming and even had a talent show.Â
Q: What are some improvements and goals the team has?
A: Overall being a conference champion but aside from that just showing how our bond off the court makes us a great team on the court. Last season is the past, we're a whole different team this year and we're excited for the McLeod to be packed again.Â
Q: What has been the best memory you've made in college so far?
A: That is a hard question to answer because I have so many but I'd have to say overall being a part of the team and something bigger than yourself, we get to represent our school. We've done a lot of team bonding activities to grow and push each other.
