UNI Tennis Falls in the MVC Quarterfinals to Stony Brook, 4-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The No. 7 seeded UNI women's tennis team fell to No. 2 seed Stony Brook 4-0 in the quarterfinal round of the MVC Tournament in Springfield, Mo. on Friday.
On the No. 2 doubles court, Thaissa Moreira/senior Valentina Caro held a tight 3-2 lead over Nolwenn Cardoso/Mathild Sreeves before their match was left unfinished as the Seawolves clinched the doubles point with wins on courts No. 1 and No. 3.
In singles action, the Purple and Gold suffered losses on the No. 2, No. 3, and No. 5 courts. On the No. 1 court, sophomore Emma Carr was entering a three-set battle with Jamie Wei, falling 1-6 in the first set, before bouncing back in the second, 6-3, but the match was left unfinished. Caro was also about to enter a three-set battle before her match against Nolwenn Carsodo was left unfinished at 2-6, 6-3.
