CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI volleyball team fell to the DePaul Blue Demons on Sunday afternoon, losing in 4 sets 30-32, 26-24, 20-25, 19-25.

1^st Set: The first set opened with a strong start from the Panthers, moving out to a three-point lead. The Blue Demons went on a run in the middle of the set to lead by 2 before UNI tied the set 21-21. The Panthers took the lead 23-22 before two consecutive errors gave the Blue Demons a 25-24 lead. Multiple ties and lead changes followed, but eventually it was the Blue Demons that came out on top 32-30. The Panthers finished the set with 22 kills with 2 aces and 1 block. UNI finished with a .294 team hitting percentage. Freshman setter Tayler Alden finished the set with 16 assists, 2 kills, 2 digs and an ace.

2^nd Set: A dramatic second set saw 7 lead changes. The Panthers finally moved ahead 18-17 and never relinquished the lead, eventually taking the set 26-24. The Panthers finished with 11 kills with 4 aces and 3 blocks while hitting .143 as a team. Alden recorded 8 assists with 3 aces, 2 blocks and 1 kill.

3^rd Set: The Panthers scored the first two points of the set before the Blue Demons to the lead and never surrendered it. After DePaul tied the set 13-13, they moved ahead by as many as 5 and finished with a 25-20 set victory. The Panthers finished with 8 kills, 8 blocks and 1 ace but hit just .032 as a team.

4^th Set: DePaul moved out to an early five-point lead at 8-3 before the Panthers went on a 9-3 run to take their first lead of the set at 12-11. The Blue Demons reclaimed the lead at 18-17 and pushed ahead to finished the set 25-19. UNI finished with 11 kills, 4 blocks and 1 ace while recording a .179 team hitting percentage.

THE PANTHERS

-UNI finished with 52 kills and a .179 team hitting percentage.
-Kaylissa Arndorfer recorded a team high 12 kills with a team high .370 hitting percentage.
-UNI recorded 48 assists with Tayler Alden recording a team high 38.
-Alden recorded a team and season high 5 service aces on the night.
-UNI finished with 26 blocks led by Kaylissa Arndorfer with 7 block assists and 1 solo block.

THE BLUE DEMONS

-DePaul finished with 56 kills and a .210 team hitting percentage.
-DePaul recorded 52 assists with Molly Murrihy (23) and Phoenix Krasowski (22) leading the way.
-Jill Pressly finished with a team high 18 kills and a .394 hitting percentage.
