DEKALB, Ill. – The UNI women's tennis team fell, 7-0, to Northern Illinois at the Chick Evans Field House in DeKalb, Ill. on Friday.

The Panthers dropped the doubles point with NIU picking up 6-1 wins on the No. 1 and No. 3 courts. Sophomore Thaissa Moreira/senior Valentina Caro were locked in a tight battle on the No. 2 court, but the match was left unfinished with Lara Slisko/Paula Veyhle leading, 4-3.

Senior Madeline Doherty fought through three sets with Anastasia Rakita on the No. 2 court during singles action. Doherty edged past Rakita, 6-4, in the first set before falling 0-6 in the second and 1-6 in the third.
