ST. LOUIS – Four members of the UNI Panther volleyball team received Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete accolades with Emily Holterhaus earning Scholar-Athlete First Team distinction and Payton Ahrenstorff, Inga Rotto, and Carly Spies picking up Scholar-Athlete Honorable Mention nods.
All 10 league programs were represented with 22 different individuals recognized this season for their academic and athletic performance. Spies led the Panthers with 111 blocks and .299 hitting including a near-conference-high .344 attack percentage specifically in league matches. She majors in Communication Disorders and has a grade point average of 3.83. This is her first-ever Scholar-Athlete selection.
