- UNI continues its busy week on the road with matches at Missouri State and Southern Illinois. This trip includes the first visit to Springfield, Missouri since October 2019.
Â
- The Panthers have a 54-27 all-time advantage over the Bears featuring victories in five of the last six meetings. UNI owns a 61-13 edge over the Salukis with an active nine-match win streak.
Â
- UNI is away from home for seven out of nine contests from October 4th through November 1st. Previously, the Panthers opened Missouri Valley Conference play on a three-match homestand. It was the first time that UNI hosted its first three MVC outings since 2001.
Â
- Carly Spies had a career night Monday at Loyola with a personal-best 10 blocks and two aces along with eight kills on a .316 attack percentage. Prior to Spies, the last Panther to post 10 blocks in a match was Piper Thomas (November 24th, 2017 at Illinois State (MVC Semifinals)).
Â
- Kaylissa Arndorfer delivered a strong outing of her own with a season-high 11 kills while hitting .500 for the match. She also tallied six blocks and sits two rejections shy of 200 denials for her career.
Â
- Emily Holterhaus has three double-doubles across four MVC matches after recording 15 kills and 11 digs at Loyola. She registered at least 11 terminations and eight digs in every conference contest so far.
Â
- Payton Ahrenstorff totaled a career-best 17 digs Monday at Loyola. She has started back-to-back tilts at libero with four total starts at the position this season.
Â
- Kira Fallert tops UNI with .986 receiving during league play. She allowed just one ace on 73 receptions over the first four MVC matches that she has appeared in so far.
Â
- Inga Rotto (108), Kaylissa Arndorfer (74), and Emily Holterhaus (74) are on consecutive contest playing streaks to begin their college careers. Rotto is also on a 33-match blocking streak dating back to last February.
- UNI returns 13 women that were with the program for the spring season including 2020-21 All-MVC honorees Emily Holterhaus (First Team), Inga Rotto (Second Team), and Tayler Alden (Freshman Team).
- Despite the challenges of the delayed 2020 campaign, the Panthers still qualified for the MVC Championship and made it to the league semifinals. UNI has earned tournament bids and semifinal berths for a league-record 36 seasons in a row.
