Women's Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The UNI women's soccer team has been named a United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award recipient for the third time in program history.
To qualify for the prestigious award, teams must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The women's soccer team posted a 3.62 team GPA through the 2020 spring semester.
Head coach Bruce Erickson and his staff stress the importance of strong academic success with his team resulting in the team's third team academic award in his tenure at UNI.
"We are proud of student athletes, both current and last year's seniors, for putting in the work in the classroom," stated Erickson. "The Team Academic award, and academics in general, is something we take very seriously and this is a nice reward for a job well done."
