Katie Taylor and UNI Swim Team Earn Scholar All-American Honors

RICHMOND, Virginia - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has named UNI swim and dive a Scholar All-American team, while also honoring Katie Taylor as Honorable Mention All-American Scholar Athlete.
The CSCAA has named 1,479 swimmers and divers to the Scholar All-American Team for the 2019-2020 season. The association has also selected 801 programs from 461 institutions to the Scholar All-American Team for the spring 2020 semester.
The UNI swim and dive team finished the 2020 spring semester with a 3.82 cumulative GPA. Senior Katie Taylor finished her Panther career with a 3.97 cumulative GPA while majoring in Finance, earning her Honorable Mention Scholar Athlete by the CSCAA. The award recognizes students who achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and were invited to compete at their respective national championships.
Taylor's record breaking career was highlighted by being named First Team All MVC all four years, receiving the 2019 Elite 17 award, being named the 2019 Scholar Athlete of the Year and winning 200 backstroke in the 2020 MVC Championships.
