Eleven Panthers Named Academic All-Big 12

IRVING, TEXAS – Eleven Panthers earned Academic All-Big 12 honors, including nine first-team honorees, the most since UNI joined the Big 12 three seasons ago.

Kyle Biscoglia led the way for the Panthers with a 4.0 GPA. Drew Bennett, Noah Glaser, Derek Holschlag, Jacob Holschlag, Isaiah Patton, Patrick Schoenfelder, Bryce Steiert and Max Thomsen all earned first-team honors.

Paden Moore and Jay Schwarm picked up second-team honors.

Only North Dakota State and Utah Valley placed more athletes on the first-team which requires both academic and participation requirements.

The Panthers closed out the dual season with a 20-18 win Friday on strong performances by Academic All-Conference honorees Schwarm and Patton.

UNI next travels to Tulsa, Okla., for the Big 12 Championship on March 7-8.
