CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI women's Swim & Dive team signed 4 new member in their 2021 recruiting class. The Panther family welcomes Madeline Moran, Abby Hutchins, Hannah Taylor and Ema Lovigne.
Madeline Moran, Flower Mound, Texas
Madeline Moran joins the Panther family following a 4 year career at Marcus High School under coaches Brandon Dion and Sherri McGuire. Moran served as her team captain in 2019 and 2020. Moran recorded a personal best 1 meter score of 346.6 for 11 dives. Madeline is the daughter of Michael and Heather Moran, she has three siblings, Collen, John, and Kate.
Abby Hutchins, Johnson, Iowa
Abby Hutchins is a 3 time state qualifier for head coach Teresa Dayton at Johnson High School. Hutchins dove, swam and ran track at Johnson High School. Hutchins earned 1st team all-conference honors and honorable mention all-state honors in 2020. She finished with 1 meter career with highs of 453.9 for 11 dives and 268.25 for 6 dives. Abby is the daughter of Brian and Kelly Hutchins.
Hannah Taylor, Marshalltown, Iowa
Hannah Taylor joins the Panther swim and dive program after swimming 4 years for head coach Angie Nelson at Marshalltown High School. Taylor won the CIMl diving championship as a senior. She recorded personal best 1 meter scores of 287.8 for 6 dives and 462.85 11 dives. Hannah is the daughter of Tom and Gretchen Taylor.
Ema Lavigne, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Ema Lavigne is a 4 time all-state selection out of Baton Rouge High School under the direction of head coach Maggie Hall. Lavigne is a 4 time Baton Rouge High School MVP, setting school records in the 100 breast, 100 free, and 200 medley relay. Lavigne won a Louisiana High School state title in the 100 breast stroke in 2020. Ema is the daughter of Babette Bourgeois and Jamie Lavigne.
