CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI sim and dive team has added new members on Notional Signing Day. The most recent recruiting class consists of 3 from Wisconsin, 2 from Minnesota, 1 from Arkansas, and 1 from Iowa
Abigail Bangs, Muskego, Wisconsin
Abigail Bangs comes to the UNI Swim and Dive team after swimming four years for Muskego High School swimming under head coach Heidi Szczupakiewicz. While swimming for the Warriors, Bangs earned All-State honors in the 400 free relay and has earned Honorable Mention in the 500 freestyle and 200 freestyle. Banks has been a member of the National Honor Society for the past two years and has been on the Muskego honor roll all four years. Abagail is the daughter of Tiffany and Robert Bangs.
Faith Larsen, Eden Prairie, Minnesota
Faith Larsen joins the UNI Swim and Dive team following her four years swimming under head coach Kelly Boston for Eden Prairie High School. Over the past three seasons for the Eagles, she earned All-State honors and 200-yard freestyle relay All-American honors. In 2019, Larsen added 400-yard freestyle All-American honors. In 2020, Larsen added 200-yard medley All-American honors. Faith is the daughter of Lloyd and Cari Larsen with siblings Caroline and Harleigh.
Hallory Domnick, Green Bay, Wisconsin
Hallory Domnick comes to the UNI Swim and Dive team after four years at Ashwaubenon High School. Under head coach Kari Kleczka, Domnick received State Honorable Mention in the 500-yard freestyle as a freshman and sophomore and won the State title for the 500-yard freestyle as a Junior. Domnick also was runner-up in both the 100 butterfly and 400-yard freestyle relay her Junior year. As a Jaguar, she joined the National Honor Society. Hallory is the daughter of Amy and Ray Domnick and has a younger sister, Jordan.
Alizarin Purtle, Boone, Iowa
Alizarin Purtle joins the UNI Swim and Dive team after swimming four years at Boone High School. Under head coach Chris Mann, Purtle was a State participant the past three years. As a Toreador, she also participated in Track and Field for three years. Alizarin is the daughter of Alison and Eric Purtle.
Meghan Pallett, Plainwell, Michigan
Meghan Pallett joins the UNI Swim and Dive team following four years swimming under head coach Andrea Murphy for Plainwell High School. As a Trojan, she gained All-State honors for the 400 free relay and broke and school record for the 100 breaststroke in the '18 and '19 season. Pallett joined the National Honor Society in 2019. Meghan is the daughter of Marshall and Rachel Pallett.
Olivia Chambers, Little Rock, Arkansas
Olivia Chambers comes from Mount St. Mary Academy to join the UNI Swim and Dive team. Under head coach Carl Auel, Chambers got 1st place in 200 backstroke, 2nd place in the 200 IM, and 3rd place in the 200 breaststroke and 100 breaststroke at the 2019 Long Course Championship. She received a 3rd place finish in both 400 IM and 200 fly at the 2020 Course Championships. Chambers was a part of the National Honor Society (2020-21) and the French National Honor Society (2019-21). Olivia is the daughter of Alison and Brad Chambers with siblings Mason and Emerson.
Sydney Stemper, Hartland, Wisconsin
After four years swimming at Arrowhead High School, Sydney Stemper joins the UNI Swim and Dive team. As a Warhawk, Stemper qualified for State both freshman and senior year under head coach Ruth Ahnen. In 2019, she received a 2nd place finish at State. She was also a part of the Conference Champion team from 2017-2020. Sydney is the daughter of David and Nicole Stemper and has a younger sibling, Danielle.
Abby McCorkle, Ames, Iowa
Abby McCorkle swam for head coach Joe Fisher at Ames High School in her prep career. The Little Cyclones saw success early in the McCorkle's career, winning team titles in 2017 and 2018 and secured a State Runner-Up finish in 2019. McCorkle has won two CIML All-Academic Awards and earned NISCA All-American honors in the 200 Medley Relay. Abby is the aughter of Doug and Anne McCorkle, she has 5 siblings, Sophie, Ian, Evan, Ellie and Owen.
