Abbi Staack Earns MVC Defensive Player of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Missouri – Senior Abbi Staack was named Defensive Player of the Week by the Missouri Valley Conference.
Staack totaled 53 digs, 5 assists, and 1 kill in two matches over the weekend. Staack recorded 23 digs in the team's first MVC match of the season, taking on Evansville. The senior libero recorded just her second kill of the year on a rare attack attempt. Staack added 30 digs against Indiana State to help the Panthers move to 2-0 in the MVC.
This is the second time Staack has been named Defensive Player of the Week this season. Staack and the rest of the Panthers will be back in action on Monday night. The team continues MVC play with a 6 p.m. match against the Crusaders of Valparaiso. The match can be viewed on ESPN+.
