Kate Busswitz Named MVC Player of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Missouri – UNI middle hitter, Kate Busswitz, has been named MVC Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Kate Busswitz stepped up over the weekend, playing with power and efficiency from the middle to help the Panthers go 2-1 to open the season. Busswitz totaled 40 kills on 80 attacks to record a team-high .326 hitting percentage.
Busswitz was a force at the net with 8 total blocks and tallied 5 service aces. The 6'3 middle blocker recorded 19 kills against Liberty and finished with a .389 hitting percentage and backed it up against Texas State with 13 kills on 22 total attacks for a .545 hitting percentage.
