
UNI Volleyball Falls to #8 Marquette 1-3

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin – The UNI volleyball team took on the #8 Golden Eagles of Marquette on Saturday night, falling 1-3 with set scores of 25-20, 22-25, 26-28 and 6-26. The Panthers now move to 6-8 on the season.
Karlie Taylor and Kate Busswitz led the team in kills with 13 apiece and 14 total points. Freshmen Emily Holterhaus and Kaylissa Arndorfer each finished with solid performances, Holterhaus finished with nine kills on 20 attacks for a .400 hitting percentage and recording three blocks while Arndorfer finished with eight kills and five total blocks.
Abbi Staack had her best defensive game statistically with 34 total digs. Karlie Taylor finished second on the team with 16 dig and Rachel Koop added eight digs. Koop finished with 46 assists, tying her second highest mark of the season.

The Panthers wrap up the non-conference schedule with a 6-8 record. UNI will take on Evansville to kick-off the MVC schedule on Friday, September 27 at 6 p.m in the McLeod Center. Saturday's match with Indiana State will start at 5 p.m. and will be a gold game as well as $1 hotdog night.
