
Rachel Koops Moves to #10 in Career Assists

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Senior Rachel Koop has set her way into the record books, recording her 1,946 career assists last weekend ranks her #10 in career assists at UNI.
The senior from New Hartford has set the Panther offense for two seasons. After recording 5 assists as a freshman and 12 as a sophomore, Koop emerged as one of the best setters in the country in her junior season, finishing with 1,508 assists, ranking #5 in single season assists at UNI.
Koop has averaged 10.02 assists per set against some of the best competition in the country. A season ago the AVCA All-Region selection averaged 11.97 assists per set, the 5th highest mark in the country and good enough for 9th in single season assist per set at UNI.
Koop and the rest of the Panthers will be in action of Friday, September 20 at the Marquette Invitational.
