Panthers In the Pros - Week 1

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – For week one of the NFL season, three Panthers made the 53-man roster for NFL teams while wide receiver Daurice Fountain was injured during camp and was placed on the injured reserve by the Indianapolis Colts.
 
David Johnson – Arizona Cardinals
Johnson's stated goal for the 2019 season is to rush for over 1,000 yards and record over 1,000 yards receiving. He is well on his was after recording 82 yards rushing on 18 carries and tallying 55 yards receiving a touchdown on six catches. The Cardinals finished game one with a 27-27 tie against Detroit at home. The Cardinals are on the road against Baltimore Sunday night on Fox. He also had a big week off the field when he dedicated his fourth "David's Locker" filled with games and electronics for ill children.
 
Xavier Williams – Kansas City Chiefs
Williams played for the defending AFC West Champions but did not record a tackle in the 40-26 road win over Jacksonville. The Chiefs are back on the road in Oakland on Sunday on CBS.
 
LJ Fort – Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles defeated Washington 37-27 at home in their season opener. LJ Fort did not record a tackle during the win. The Eagles take on the Falcons in Atlanta on Sunday Night Football on NBC.
