2019 Parking and Fan Zone Information

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI football season is upon us and Panther Athletics is excited to announce a change to the Football Fan Zone location and makeup. Parking, tailgate and Kid Zone information is also attached.
Panther Football Fan Zone
The Panther Football Fan Zone will be located on the south end of the McLeod Center parking lot, on the corner of Panther Parkway and W 27th Street. This location will be in the center of the tailgating atmosphere and will be open to everyone from 12:30pm - 3:30pm for the first five home Panther football games.
The Football Fan Zone will have food, beer, and soda/water for purchase. Hy-Vee will be providing food in the tents and also new this year there will be local food trucks on-site to give our fans a variety of options for pregame meals. Kubo Food Truck will be present during our home opener (Sept. 7) along with Homecoming (Oct. 5) and Jim's Smoking the Wheels on the Grill BBQ will handle each of the other games.
There will also be a designated area for children with inflatables and other games. Also inside the tents CFU will be providing cable for fans to enjoy football broadcasts prior to the Panther football game.
Panther Scholarship Club members with club room passes will be able to redeem their tickets good for one drink and one meal at each tailgate.

Kid Zone
The McLeod Center Kids Zone will again be open and free for TC's Kids Club members and $2 for non-Kids Club Members. Children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. The Kids Zone opens 30 minutes prior to kickoff and will close in the third quarter. Parents and children can enter the Kids Zone by exiting the south doors of the UNI-Dome and then enter the McLeod Center. Signage will help direct you.
Parking and Tailgating
Parking cost remains $5 for passenger vehicles and $10 for RVs for non-PSC members. The lots open six hours prior to the game for tailgating. Alcohol is allowed in lots, but glass bottles and containers are prohibited. Alcohol containers are limited to a maximum container size of one gallon.
Charcoal grills and gas grills are permitted for cooking. No open fires are permitted. Tailgaters are responsible for picking up their trash and taking it with them or disposing of it in trash receptacles provided by UNI.

Saturday, Sept. 7 - Volleyball & Football Game Day
For the Panther's home opener, UNI is also hosting one of the best early-season volleyball tournaments in the country with Kentucky, USC and Creighton coming to the McLeod Center to meet the Panthers. Saturday's matches are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. (UNI vs USC), 5 p.m. (Creighton vs USC) and 7:30 p.m. (UNI vs Kentucky). The two late Saturday games (5 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.) will not be broadcasted on ESPN so please purchase your tickets today by click here. With the tournament and football game going on concurrently, there will be changes to the game-day procedures.
Parking
Football parking procedures will be in place.
PSC Volleyball season ticket holders that have a PSC football parking pass can park in their designated football game day parking lot. PSC volleyball season ticket holders that are not football season ticket holders will not be able to park in the McLeod Lot or West Dome Parking Lot. However, they will be able to park for free by showing their PSC card in any of the paid parking lots designated for football game day.
Fans attending the volleyball matches will be required to pay the $5 parking fee on Saturday.
Golf carts will be available starting at 9:30 a.m. and will go through the 7:30 p.m. volleyball match for those that need assistance. This service will be provided for volleyball and football fans.
Volleyball fans are encouraged to arrive early for the 7:30 match to avoid football post-game traffic.
