UNI Ticket Office Offer Buy One Get One for School Supply Donations

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI athletic department is offering a buy one get one to the final men's basketball game against Loyola on Feb 27 to fans that donate school supplies for the classrooms of Lowell Elementary, starting Mon, Feb. 25th.
Lowell Elementary students were forced to move to the old AEA Conference Center after the school's roof collapsed on Wed, Feb 20. Waterloo Community School District Administrators are calling for supply donations to replace the items lost.
Fans can receive their buy one get one tickets by dropping off supplies at the McLeod Center ticket office from Monday – Wednesday from 10am-4pm. Fans can also donate prior to Wednesday's men's basketball game at either ticket office location, doors open at 6:00 pm. Only in-person donations will be accepted for the buy one get one offer. While the ticket offer is valid through Wed, Feb. 27 the ticket office will accept donations through noon on Friday.
Any and all school supplies are welcomed, including plastic shoebox-sized containers with lids and non-perishable snacks. A list of what they need most can be found below.
All Students
A backpack for each child is recommended (Backpacks with wheels do not fit in lockers)
All students will need gym shoes for gym class.
Classrooms can always use Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, and copy paper.
Kindergarten
3 boxes of 24 crayons (regular size – Crayola work best)
1 package of dry erase markers - BLACK
1 pair of scissors (Fiskars work best)
6-8 glue sticks
24 #2 wooden pencils with erasers (Ticonderoga work best)
2 pink erasers
2 different PLAIN/SOLID spiral notebooks, wide ruled, 70-100 sheets
2 different PLAIN / SOLID colored plastic pocket folders (red, yellow, green, blue)
1 hard sided supply box (5 by 8 inches)
3 large boxes of kleenex
1 package of sticky notes
1 box Crayola markers
First & Second Grade
