Men's Basketball Defeat Evansville 73-58

EVANSVILLE, Indiana – The UNI men's basketball team moves to 12-15 overall and 7-7 in the Missouri Valley Conference after defeating the Purple Aces of Evansville on Sunday.
The Panthers started hot in the first half and never slowed, taking a 14 point lead into the break. AJ Green made the first two shots for the Panthers, both three-pointers, and finished with 13 first-half points.
Collectively the Panthers shot 45.5 percent from the field and managed to knock down six three-pointers in the first 20 minutes of play. Isaiah Brown recorded four first-half assists and led the Panthers with two steals.
The Panthers never let up in the second half, maintaining a 13 point lead for most of the half. After a hot start, AJ Green kept pouring it on, finishing with a team-high 21 points making eight of his 15 field goal attempts.
Trae Berhow finished with his third double-double of the season on Sunday, finishing with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Spencer Haldeman also ended with 14 points while adding four rebounds, one, and one steal. Senior Wyatt Lohaus added 11 points and 8 rebounds.
Collectively the Panthers shot 46.4 percent from the field while knocking down seven three-pointers. Once again the Panthers won the turnover battle, recording six steals and block on the night.
