UNI Wrestling: 5 Earn Panthers Top-10 RPIs

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI wrestling's Jay Schwarm moved up in the NCAA rankings, and five Panthers are in the top 10 of the first RPIs released this season.

Seniors Josh Alber and Drew Foster sit at the top of the RPI list. Alber is ranked seventh in 141-pound weight class, and Foster is ranked eighth at 184 pounds.

No. 8 Taylor Lujan is sixth on the RPI list. Max Thomsen and Bryce Steiert are both seventh for RPI in their weight classes. Thomsen, a former All-American, is ranked 10^th at 149 pounds. Steiert, a junior who is coming off a redshirt season, is ranked 12^th at 165 pounds.

Schwarm moved up three spots to No. 26 at 125 pounds and is 26^th on the RPI list.

No. 17 UNI will wrap up its dual season at home against No. 11 Iowa State for a weekday matchup 7 p.m. Feb. 21. It will be senior night, and fans are asked to wear purple.
