UNI Volleyball Earns At-Large Bid Into NCAA Tournament

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI volleyball team earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament as announced during the NCAA Selection Show on Sunday night.
The Panthers are set to take on Missouri in Lincoln, Nebraska in the first round on Friday, December 6. The four teams in the regional are Ball State, Nebraska, Missouri and UNI.
Missouri and UNI took the court early this season, the Panthers lost to the Tigers 1-3 at the Missou Invitational. The Panthers hold a 11-6-3 overall record against the Tigers. UNI and Missouri played in the 2010 NCAA Tournament, the Panthers fell in five sets inside the McLeod Center.
The 2019 season marks the 6th time the Panthers have earned an at-large bid into the tournament, earning bids in 2008, 2012, 2015, 2016, and 2017. The Panthers are 2-5 in the NCAA Tournament when earning an at-large bid, winning first round matches in 2012 and 2017.
