Volleyball Defeat Braves in Five Sets

PEORIA, Illinois – The UNI volleyball team went five sets with the Braves of Bradley, winning the match 3-2 with set scores of 16-24, 27-25, 26-28, 25-20, 15-11.
The Panthers and Braves battled for five sets, each recording hitting percentage below .200. The Panthers finished with a .179 hitting percentage while the Braves recorded a .167 hitting percentage. The Panthers out blocked the Braves 20-17 with the Panthers recording 6 solo blocks compared to the Braves one.
Inga Rotto finished with a career night, recording career highs with 19 kills and 7 blocks. Rotto recorded 3 solo blocks and 7 block assists, leading the Panthers in both categories. Karlie Taylor finished the night with 14 kills on 62 total swings. Taylor moved into 3rd all-time in career kills with her 12th kill of the evening, passing Bobbi Petersen.
Rachel Koop added 50 assists on the night while adding 17 digs, three kills and 3 service aces. Abbi Staack led the Panthers with 26 digs.
