Day Two From the Kansas Classic

TOPEKA, Kansas - It was another busy day for the UNI swim and dive team during day two of the Kansas Classic. Prelims started at 11 in the morning, and finals started at 6.
ÂThree Panthers qualified for the A finals during prelims on Saturday. Katie Taylor took 3rd in the 400 IM (4:22.81), Moriah Ross placed 5th in the 100 yard breast (1:03.01), and Helena Hueberger took 3rd in the 100 back (55.22).
ÂKylie Engstrom qualified for the B finals in the 400 IM and the 200 free. Sydney Schmidt and Lauren Havertape qualified for the B and C finals in the 100 fly. Alivia Soares qualified for C finals in the 400 IM.Â
ÂIn the finals portion of the night, Katie Taylor placed 3rd (4:19.75) and Kylie Engstrom placed 12th (4:31.00) in the 400 IM.
ÂThe 200 medley relay team of Katie Taylor, Moriah Ross, Lauren Havertape, Sydney Schmidt (1:43.38) took 7th in the finals.
ÂTwo Panthers placed 4th in the finals with Moriah Ross in the 100 breast (1:03.19) and Helena Heuberger in the 100 back (55.03). Sydney Schmidt placed 11th in the 100 fly (55.92).
ÂKatie Taylor, Kylie Engstrom, Helena Heuberger, and Jordan McCullough took 5th in the 800 free relay (7:30.18).
