Rachel Koop Named MVC Player of the Week

ST. LOUIS – UNI's Rachel Koop has been named MVC Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Senior Rachel Koop continues to lead the NCAA in total assists and added 99 more in 9 sets last week. Koop recorded 49 assists in the Panthers 3-1 win over Illinois State, Koop also recorded 7 digs, 4 kills, 2 service aces, and a block assists to help the Panthers avenge their only MVC loss of the season. Koop led the Panthers to a five-set comeback win against Bradley on Saturday night, recording 50 assists. Koop added 17 digs, 3 serve aces and 3 kills on the night.

Koop and the rest of the Panther volleyball team will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Des Moines for an in-state showdown with Drake. The match will begin at 6 p.m. and can be viewed on ESPN+.
