Rachel Koop Named MVC Player of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Missouri – UNI senior setter, Rachel Koop, was named MVC Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Rachel Koop finished the weekend with 77 total assists, leading the Panthers to two MVC victories over Missouri State and Southern Illinois on the road. Koop, while setting the Panther offense, finished with 7 kills and a .778 hitting percentage on the weekend.

Koop helped the Panthers make quick works of the MVC rivals, setting the Panthers to two 3-0 victories. Koop recorded 36 assists against the Bears of Missouri State while adding 4 kills on 5 attacks. She backed up the performance with 41 assists and 3 kills on 4 total attacks against Southern Illinois. Koop is #10 in career assists at UNI with 2,276 assists.

Koop and the rest of the Panther volleyball team will be back in action this Friday and Saturday when they host Bradley and Illinois State in the McLeod Center.
