THE PANTHERS
• The Panthers move to 6-8 on the season at 1-0 in the MVC after defeating Bradley in the MVC season opener in Peoria, Illinois, Wednesday.
• The Panthers take on the Salukis of Southern Illinois in the McLeod Center Saturday. The Salukis hold the series lead, 34-30.
• Head coach Ben Jacobson is 18-9 against the Salukis and holds an 11-1 record at home.
• UNI has made at least one 3-pointer in 608 straight games – the longest active streak in the Missouri Valley Conference.
• Isaiah Brown and Trae Berhow each dropped 14 points in Wednesday's MVC victory over the Bradley Braves. The pair led the team in scoring, while each shot .500 from the field.
• Freshman AJ Green ranks sixth in scoring in the MVC, averaging 14.8 points per game.
• The Panthers 364 three-point attempts rank second in the MVC. The Panthers have made 119 shots from beyond the arc so far this season.

• Fourteen games in, freshman guard, AJ Green has gone 36-42 from the line for a .857 free throw percentage, the mark ranks third in the league behind Drake's Nick Norton and Indiana State's Jordan Barnes.
• The Panthers continue their effort to rebound. Collectively the Panthers rank fourth in the conference in rebounding, averaging 9.1 offensive rebounds and 25.6 defensive rebounds per game.
• Luke McDonnell ranks fifth in the league, bringing in 2.1 offensive rebounds per game while Trae Berhow hauls in 5.2 defensive rebounds per game, ranking him sixth in that category.

• Southern Illinois finished its non-conference schedule with a 7-6 record with wins over Tulsa, Colorado State and Southeast Missouri.
• The Salukis moved to 1-0 in the Missouri Valley with a 75-70 victory over Missouri State on Wednesday.Â
• Collectively the Salukis are shooting .474 from the field, third best in the MVC.
• Southern Illinois' Kavion Pippen is shooting at an impressive .613 mark, his 73 made field goals ranks seventh in the MVC.
• Southern Illinois has five players averaging more than 10 points per game. Sean Lloyd has started all 14 games for the Salukis this season, averaging 12.6 points per game and leading the team with 19 offensive rebounds.
• Eric McGill, Kavion Pippen and Aaron Cook all average more than 11 points per game. Pippen and McGill are the team's top rebounders, hauling in 73 and 75 boards respectively.
• With 15 seasons as the head coach at two Missouri Valley Conference schools (Missouri State and Southern Illinois), Barry Hinson ranks fourth all-time in overall wins (268) and MVC wins (145).
