
Foster, Green, Rucker and McCalla are January's Student-Athletes of the Month

Drew Foster, AJ Green, Karli Rucker and Maddie McCalla were named the Student-Athletes of the Month for impressive performances in the month of December.
Foster became just the second Panther ever to earn Big 12 Wrestler of the Week honors after his championship run at the Midlands which he won in impressive fashion, earning bonus points in every match leading up to the finals. He beat No. 14 Cash Wilcke of Iowa for the title.Â
He also knocked off No. 5 Zach Zavatsky of Virginia Tech twice and No. 18 Lou Deprez of Binghamton on his way to a third-place finish at the Cliff Keen Invite.Â
Drew is an Elementary and Middle-Level Education Double Major. He is a multi-semester member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.Â
Green averaged 13.3 points per game, including a 20-point outing against Dubuque and a 27-point performance against Grand Canyon. He shot 27-73 (.370) from the field during the month.Â
AJ is a Movement and Exercise Science major with and with an emphasis on Sport Psychology. He earned Athletic Director Honor Roll honors for the fall semester.
Rucker averaged 15.4 PPG and shot 29-65 (.446) from the field in December. She had 3.0 rebounds and a total of 21 assists and eight steals. She scored a game-high 23 points against Minnesota State and scored 11 points or more in each of the five games in December.
Karli is an Elementary Education major and a multi-semester member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
McCalla broke a 24-year old record in the 300m dash at the Jimmy Grant Invite. She took first in the 300m dash with a time of 39.31 and broke Shantel Twiggs' record of 39.74 from 1994.Â
Maddie is a Health Sciences major with Family Studies minor and a multi-semester member of the Dean's List and Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
