
Panther Volleyball Wins Two at Active Ankle Invite

MUNCIE, Ind. – The UNI Panther Volleyball team got back on track with a pair of four-set wins to start off the Ball State Active Ankle Challenge.
The wins move the Panthers to 4-4 on the year. The matches were the first against teams that weren't either ranked or receiving votes.
UNI 3, Ball State 1
After two sets of back and forth battle, the Panthers rolled in the final two sets to earn the 25-21, 20-25, 25-13, 25-19 win.
Katie Busswitz had a breakout match with 13 kills with just three errors for a .417 attack percentage. Karlie Taylor added 16 kills, Jaydlin Seehase notched 14 and Piper Thomas tallied 10.
Rachel Koop had 45 assists and Kendyl Sorge tallied 17 digs.
UNI 3, Indiana 1
The second match of the day was a much closer affair. UNI won the match 25-22, 25-23, 22-25, 25-23. Every set was a three-point margin or closer.
The Panthers hit .319 in the first set and hit .205 for the match. Taylor notched 24 kills, the second highest total of the season. Thomas tallied a season-high 18 kills and hit a team-high .262. Koop had 53 assists and Taylor Hedges tallied 30 digs to lead UNI. The Panthers notched 91 digs as a team.
BACK TO .500
After dropping three-straight matches, the Panthers picked up back-to-back wins to move to 4-4 on the year.
KILLER KARLIE
Karlie Taylor has at least 14 kills in every match this season. She had a season-high 28 kills against Washington State. She has five double-doubles on the year.

UNI closes the weekend with a match against North Dakota State Saturday at 1 p.m.
