Football Spring Game Set for April 27

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Less than three months removed from the football program's 19th FCS Playoff appearance, the University of Northern Iowa football team returns to the practice field on March 26, with UNI's annual Spring Game set to take place on Friday, April 27.
The Spring Game will kick off at 6 p.m., from the UNI-Dome, with admission free to the public. The Panthers will participate in 15 practice sessions between March 26 and April 25, with fans welcomed to attend.
Monday's announcement comes on the heels of a successful signing day last week, as the Panthers hauled in a stellar class that features 21 top prospects set to join a talented 2018 UNI squad in the fall.
The 2018 Panthers will return 26 players who made starts on offense and defense for UNI in 2017. Last year's squad earned an 8-5 record and defeated three Top-10 foes on its way to the program's 19th FCS Playoff berth. The Panthers also succeeded on the postseason award's stage, after seven different players earned All-American honors which was the most since 2007.
