THE PANTHERS
• UNI will take on the Beavers of Bemidji State in the Panthers first regular season game scheduled for a 7 p.m. start on Tuesday, November 6 and then travel to Arlington for to take on the University of Texas at Arlington on Saturday, November 10.
•Freshman AJ Green has lived up to the hype so far in the Panthers two exhibition games, scoring 16 and 27 points.
•Sophomore Trae Berhow showed his unique athletic ability against Upper Iowa, recording a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.
• Senior Wyatt Lohaus has averaged 17 points per game through the two exhibitions while shooting 13-20 from the field.
• The Panthers return MVC All-Newcomer Tywhon Pickford for his sophomore year. Pickford averaged 9.1 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game as a freshman.
• MVC All-Bench Team member Wyatt Lohaus is back for his senior season. Lohaus averaged 9.3 points in the 24 games he played in 2017-18.
•Head coach Ben Jacobson enters his 13th season with the Panthers and has a 250-150 all-time record. Coach Jacobson is currently sixth in all-time wins of a Missouri Valley coach and sixth all-time in Missouri Valley only wins with 130 victories.

This year's UNI men's basketball games can be heard on the UNI Sports Radio Network, with KXEL (1540 AM, Waterloo, Iowa) serving as flagship station. Affiliates include KBGG (1700 AM, Des Moines), KGYM (1600 AM, Cedar Rapids), KQCR (98.9 FM, Hampton), KILJ (105.5 FM, Mount Pleasant), KFXE (1160 AM, Decorah-Waukon) and KVFD (1400 AM, Fort Dodge). Long-time Panthers announcer Gary Rima handles play-by-play duties, while Kevin Boyle serves as analyst.

BEMIDJI STATE BEAVERS
BSU dropped its first exhibition of the season Saturday, Oct. 27 at Valley City State University, 86-83. After being outscored by five points in the first half, 45-40, the Beavers came back in the second to outscore the Vikings, 43-41.
The Beavers shot 50.7 percent from the field, 29.6 percent from beyond the arc and 62.5 percent from the free throw line as a team. Seventeen BSU turnovers led the 15 points for VCSU.
Bemidji State comes off a 12-16 overall record during the 2017-18 season and returns two starters. Six letter winners in total return for the 2018-19 season while nine newcomers join the program.
The Beavers finished the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference schedule 9-13, including a 5-9 record in the NSIC North Division.
Head Coach Mike Boschee enters his seventh season with the program after totaling a 76-91 record with the Beavers and a 191-206 career record in 15 seasons as a head coach. Assistant coaches Mike Iseman and Tim Wagner begin their first seasons in their respective positions in 2018-19 with the Beavers.

UT-ARLINGTON MAVERICKS
The Mavericks hit the court for the first time on Tuesday, November 6 when they host UT-Tyler in the College Park Center. UT - Arlington is coming off a 21-13 record in 2017-18, finishing 10-8 in the Sun Belt Conference in fourth place.
A complete roster overhaul for the Mavericks, only two players that recorded minutes last season return in DJ Bryant and Scott Muirhead. Bryant averaged 14.5 minutes a game while Muirhead recorded only 2.9 minutes per contest.
The Mavericks are led by first-year Head Coach, Chris Ogden. Ogden, a first-time head coach, who has spent the previous 15 years with Texas, Tennessee, and Texas Tech as an assistant coach. As an assistant, Ogden has registered 32 victories over top 25 teams and made 11 NCAA Tournament appearances, including three regional finals.
