THE PANTHERS
• The Panthers move to 3-3 on the season after dropping a game to Old Dominion on the road last week.
• The Panthers will again be on the road this week, traveling to Logan Utah for a matchup with the 5-1 Aggies of Utah State and then participate in the US Bank Stadium Classic in Minneapolis where they are scheduled to take on the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State for the 145th time in program history.
 • AJ Green leads the conference in 3-point field goal attempts (44), free throw percentage (90.5%) and ranks in the top five in points per game (18.3), 3 point field goals made (15), total field goals made (38), and total points (110).
• Two Panthers are in the top three in MVC free throw percentages, AJ Green ranks #1 while Isaiah Brown comes in at #3 shooting 84.2%.
• Spencer Haldeman doesn't shy away from shooting the three, in the last three games, Haldeman has went 9-15 from beyond the arc.
• Sophomore Trae Berhow continues to rebound for the Panthers, averaging 5.5 defensive rebounds per game, the sophomore ranks sixth in the MVC.
• Luke McDonnell has brought down 2.33 offensive rebounds per game, third best in the conference.

Freshman AJ Green has had an impressive start to the 2018-19 season averaging over 18 points per game. The freshman guard ranks in the top five in seven statistical categories within the Missouri Valley Conference and tops the conference in 3-pt field goal attempts, and free throw percentage and second in total points with 110.

STILL REBOUNDING
The Panthers are second in the MVC in total rebounds with 226, averaging 37.7 rebounds per game. Dominating on both ends, the Panthers lead the league in rebounding margin at +3.7. Trae Berhow leads the way for the Panthers on the defensive side averaging 5.5 defensive rebounds per game and 36 total rebounds while Luke McDonnell brings in 2.33 offensive rebounds per game.Â

Spencer Haldeman has put three solid games together shooting from distance. Haldeman has gone 9-15 from beyond the arc in the Panthers last three contest.

UTAH STATE
The Aggies are off to a 5-1 start to the 2018-19 season while averaging 87 points per game.
The Aggies are led by first-year Head Coach Craig Smith. Smith has 22 years of collegiate coaching experience, including seven years as a head coach, and has been to postseason play 10 times during his career, while winning three regular season and two postseason conference championships.
As a head coach, Smith has been named conference Coach of the Year three times in addition to receiving the NAIA II National Coach of the Year Award in 2007 and the National Association of Basketball Coaches District 12 Coach of the Year Award in 2017.
Utah State's player to watch is junior guard Sam Merrill. Merrill ranks #3 at Utah State in career 3-point field goal percentage (.460) and #9 in career 3-pointers made with 144. In the Aggies six games, Merrell has scored 133 points while shooting 53.1% from the field.

SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
The Jackrabbits are 5-2 so far this season, going 2-1 in the Gulf Coast Showcase.
The Jackrabbits are led by third-year Head Coach T.J. Otzelberger. Otzelberger has gone 46-24 in two seasons with consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament, earning league Coach of the Year honors in 2017-18 while bringing the program's first-ever outright regular-season Summit League title to Brookings.
Last year's Jackrabbit squad won a program-record 28 games, finishing 28-7 on the year with a 13-1 mark in the Summit League. The Jacks were one of just three teams nationally to win 19 of their final 20 games entering the NCAA Tournament, cruising to the league's regular season and tournament title to earn the No. 12 seed in the West region of the NCAA Tournament
South Dakota State's player to watch is senior forward Mike Daum. Daum has averaged 23.9 points per game and hauls in 10.3 rebounds per game.
