
UNI Volleyball Secures #1 Seed with 3-0 Victory

TERRE HAUTE, Indiana – The Panther volleyball finished the regular season with a share of the MVC Regular Season Title on Saturday night, defeating the Sycamores of Indiana State 3-0. The sweep of the Sycamores left the Panthers with a 16-2 record and secured the No. 1 seed in the MVC Tournament next week.
The Panthers saw three strong performances by Karlie Taylor, Piper Thomas, Jaydlin Seehase, all finishing in double digit kills and hitting percentages over .300.
Jaydlin Seehase had one of her most efficient nights offensively, recording 14 kills on 27 attacks with only two recorded errors. Karlie Taylor has carved up MVC defenses all season long and continued that trend on Saturday, finishing with 15 kills and six digs.
Rachel Koop ended the night with 40 assists in the three set victory. The Panthers had two players with double digit dig marks with Koop finishing with 13 and libero Kendyl Sorge finishing with 12. Bother Baylee Petersen and Taylor Hedges ended the night with eight digs.

The Panthers now prepare for the MVC Tournament beginning on Thursday, Nov. 22. With the No. 1 seed locked up, the Panthers will have a first-round bye and begin play Nov. 23. All-MVC Tournament games will be broadcast on ESPN+. The MVC Tournament will be held in Springfield, Missouri, on the Missouri State University campus.
