4 UNI Soccer Athletes Earns All-Conference Honors

CHICAGO, Ill—Four members of the University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team have received All-Conference Honors, as announced by the Missouri Valley Conference this evening.
Senior Kelsey Yarrow was named to the First-Team All-Conference squad. Yarrow was second in goals scored this season with 5, including two game-winning goals. Yarrow started every match for the Panthers and noted two assists this season. Yarrow earned the honor of being MVC Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 8.
Senior Brynell Yount earned Second-Team All-Conference honors, scoring three goals for the Panthers this season. Yount ranks third on the All-Time Most Goals list at UNI with 18. Yount saw action in 15 matches for the Panthers this season, with 13 starts.Â
Senior Hannah McDevitt and junior Sydney Hayden earned Honorable Mention honors this season. Hayden led the Panthers squad with 6 goals this season, including two game-winning goals. Hayden started in every match for the Panthers this season and was a team captain. McDevitt's lone goal this season was a game-winning goal for the Panthers. McDevitt noted three assists this season and was a senior captain for the team. McDevitt started every match for the Panthers this season and was third on the team for minutes played this season.Â
Yarrow, Yount, McDevitt, and Hayden join a list of 32 student-athletes named to the 2018 All-Conference teams by the Valley. The 2018 Panthers squad also earned the Valley's Fair Play Award after they did not receive a single card during league play. The Panthers also earned this honor in 2017.
