Yount, Yarrow Help UNI Nab First MVC Win, 3-0

EVANSVILLE, Ind.—Kelsey Yarrow and Brynell Yount scored within a minute to put UNI up by 2 early in the second half. The Panthers would defeat the Evansville Purple Aces 3-0 and get their first conference win this season.
Yarrow scored early in the 51st minute after UNI received a penalty kick.
Hannah McDevitt assisted Brynell Yount in the 51st minute, as Yount scored her second goal of the season.
Yarrow would score her fifth goal this season, dribbling the ball up the top of the box to score.
"This was the team that I know," said head coach Bruce Erickson. "They worked incredibly hard, especially in the second half. There were a lot of standouts tonight but a great team effort overall."
Jami Reichenberger faced 4 shots on goal from the Aces, as the Panthers outshot the Aces 16-9. The Panthers had 5 shots on goal, with Michaela Till of Evansville saving 2 of the shots.

The Panthers wrap up non-conference action, as Western Illinois comes to the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex on Oct. 9 at 5 pm. The Panthers will be in MVC action as they travel to Indiana State on Oct. 12 at 6 pm.
