OMAHA, Nebraska - The University of Northern Iowa volleyball team took care of business in four sets with a 3-1 victory over the University of Nebraska-Omaha on Friday at the Omaha Challenge.

UNI (9-3 overall) won by set scores of 25-14, 19-25, 25-18, 25-22. Omaha drops to 3-9 on the season.

Junior Bri Weber collected her 1,000th career dig and her eighth career 20-plus dig performance against the Mavericks. Weber recorded her 39th career double-double with 14 kills and 23 digs. Weber became the 17th UNI Panther to surpass the 1,000 dig mark.

Sophomore Karlie Taylor posted her sixth double-double of the season with 12 kills and 13 digs against the Mavericks.

Senior Heather Hook tallied her 29th career double-double with 42 assists and 10 digs. It marks the fifth double-double of the season for the Grundy Center native.

Junior Piper Thomas was credited with her 10th double-figure kill total with 14 kills. Thomas added six digs and a team-high five blocks.

UNI will play two matches on Saturday at the Omaha Challenge against No. 10 Nebraska (noon) and vs. Kansas State (5:30 p.m.).

NOTES: UNI won the opening set for the 10th time this season ... UNI is 9-1 when winning the first set ... UNI moved to 4-1 in four-set matches ... the Panthers earned their third true road victory on the season.
