CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball jumped out to a 15-0 lead and cruised to an 80-47 victory over the Dubuque Spartans on Sunday in the McLeod Center.

UNI (8-2 overall) won its sixth straight home game as the Panthers drained 12 three-pointers and shot 48.2 percent from the floor. Dubuque (5-4 overall) was limited to 26.9 percent shooting from the field. UNI won the rebounding battle, 45-34. The Panthers had 14 players score and 15 players tally a rebound in the victory in front of 3,212 fans in the McLeod Center.

UNI senior Bennett Koch scored a team-high 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 15 minutes of action. Sophomore Isaiah Brown knocked in 4-of-5 shots from the field, including a pair of three-pointers as he tallied 11 points. Junior Wyatt Lohaus buried a trio of threes and scored 11 points off the bench.

The Panther bench enjoyed a 46-16 scoring advantage over the Spartan bench.

UNI will travel to Des Moines on Saturday to take part in The Hy-Vee Classic against the Iowa State Cyclones. UNI and Iowa State will tip at 3:30 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena.

NOTES: Freshman Austin Phyfe notched a pair of career highs with eight points and five rebounds ... UNI moved to 48-1 when holding the opposition to less than 50 points ... UNI has won 41 straight games when limiting the opposition to less than 50 points under head coach Ben Jacobson ... UNI also improved to 45-6 when scoring 80 or more points under Coach Jacobson.
