Panther Patio Available to Fans 21 and Older

The University of Northern Iowa department of athletics is committed to enhancing its game day fan experience.

The latest offering is opening up the Panther Patio to all ticket holders 21 and older for the 2017-18 UNI men's basketball regular season in the McLeod Center. The Panther Patio can be accessed via the southeast corner of the McLeod Center (stairs) or the northeast corner (stairs and elevator).

The Panther Patio offers beverages available for purchase including domestic beer, craft beer, soda and bottled water. The Panther Patio will open 60 minutes prior to the start time of game and will close at the 10-minute mark of the second half.

Beverages will not be permitted to leave the Panther Patio area.

"We are committed to constantly improving the game day experience for our fans, and providing access to the Panther Patio to those who are 21 and older is another step in that process," UNI Director of Athletics David Harris said. "We are also committed to ensuring that those who purchase and consume beer on the Panther Patio do so in a responsible manner. The 2017-18 men's basketball season promises to be another exciting one for Panther fans and we encourage everyone to come out and support the team."

The Panther Patio will open with the regular season home opener Mon., Nov. 13, as the Panthers take on Alcorn State. The Patio will be open for all regular season home games except Feb. 3 vs. Indiana State and Feb. 7 vs. Bradley.
