UNI Soccer Earns Academic Award

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa--The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team has earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2016-17 academic year.Â
This is the first time in school history that the Panthers have earned this honor.Â
The United Soccer Coaches announced the recipients of this award, totaling 813 soccer teams (282 men, 531 women) on Thursday morning. To earn this award, the team must post a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.Â
UNI joins fellow MVC schools Illinois State, Loyola Chicago, Missouri State and Valparaiso in receiving this honor.Â
