UNI Bounces Back With 3-0 Sweep of Northwestern

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa volleyball squad bounced back Saturday with a 3-0 sweep of the Northwestern Wildcats in the McLeod Center at the UNI Tournament. UNI won by set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-19.
The Panthers (7-5 overall) got 14 kills from senior Kayla Haneline and a near double-double from Bri Weber (15 digs and nine kills). Heather Hook added 36 assists to lead the Panthers.
UNI posted a .314 hitting percentage in the opening set and came back nearly as strong in the second set with a .310 hitting percentage. UNI tallied a 77 percent sideout number for the match, including an 85 percent sideout effort in the third set.
UNI will be back in action tonight against Syracuse at 7 p.m. in the McLeod Center.
