UNI Tied for 7th at Red Wolves Intercollegiate

JONESBORO, Ark. - The University of Northern Iowa men's golf team tied for its second-lowest round of the year with a 285 in the second round of the Red Wolves Intercollegiate hosted by Arkansas State. The 54-hole tournament is being played at RidgePoint Country Club and playing to a par 71.
UNI is tied for seventh in the team standings after shooting rounds of 295-288 (583) on Monday. UNI previously shot 288 in the second round of the Zach Johnson Invitational on Oct. 5.
UNI's Dustin Atkinson is tied for fourth at three-under par. Atkinson fired a 67 in the second round to tie his lowest round of the year. Atkinson shot a 1-over 71 in the opening round and has a 139 total through 36 holes. Atkinson has recorded three sub-70 rounds this year.
Kyle Driscoll is tied for 27th after opening with rounds of 72-73 (145). Driscoll is at 3-over for the tournament. Driscoll has now tallied a team-best 20 sub-80 rounds this season.
Jacob Bermel is tied for 54th after he posted an even par second round score of 71. Bermel opened up with an 81 and shaved 10 strokes in the afternoon round. Bermel has posted 15 sub-80 rounds this season.
Eric Sikkema is tied for 57th overall with scores of 74-79 (153). David Spengler is tied for 60th in the field after firing rounds of 77-77 (154).
Arkansas State holds the team lead at 13-under par after posting rounds of 278-277 (555).
UNI will wrap up the final round on Tuesday.
